Painter & Designer: Watercolour

I studied at Loughborough College of Art & Design as a mature student, specialising in embroidery and received B.A. Honours degree. Initially, my work was dominated by floral imagery, but more recently my influences have covered a much wider range of subjects, including local scenes, life studies and portraits. Driven by my passion for watercolour, with its delicate translucent colour washes and mixed media for its textural qualities, each new painting brings its own challenges and is a constant source of inspiration. It is very rewarding seeing the images emerge on the paper.  Previous exhibitions include: The Frank Haynes Gallery;  City Gallery, Leicester;  The Hanover International Hotel, Hinckley, Leics;  The Parklands Leisure Centre, Oadby, Leics; The Haymarket Theatre, Leicester;  The Castle Hotel, Kirby Muxloe, Leics.
