On Saturday 28 October 2017 AAC will be hosting their first one-day Attenborough Arts Centre Christmas Craft Fair. They have space for around 30 stall holders offering a variety of innovative and beautiful British-made crafts, art or design-led products.
Stalls will cost £30 (main hall) or £25 (upstairs studios) incl VAT, with an additional discount for any stall holders who can also demonstrate their craft to visitors.

CALL OUT FOR CREATIVE WORKSHOPS AT LEICESTER MUSEUMS
Leicester Museums offer venue hire for private and corporate bookings. Sometimes getting requests for something creative. They are looking for activities suitable for adults or younger people. Whatever your medium, if you would be able to offer ‘taster sessions’ (lasting about 2 hours) or short workshops (up to 4 hours), they would be interested in hearing from you.

MAKING ART: FREE LSA WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS & CHILDREN
To coincide with the ‘Little Selves’ Exhibition (25 March – 25 June 2017), The LSA are providing a series of 8 free workshops.
You do not need any previous experience and the workshops are free, with materials provided. Each workshop is about making portraits with a lead artist.

Award-winning artist Martin Greenland will share skills in oil painting techniques. This unique masterclass will explore a variety of techniques in order to achieve success; looking at how build-up, removal, thin layers, thick layers, wiping out and glazes with transparent or translucent mediums can offer an infinite number of outcomes in a painting.

Classes are run workshop style, with students own choice of medium and subject in discussion with the tutor. Projects are sometimes set but these are optional. The classes aim to develop observation, colour mixing, mark making, consideration of composition and a development of understanding of medium chosen and papers etc available. Friendly welcoming classes, which aim to build core skills.
