Jill Hailes N.D.D. R.B.S.A.
Following formal training at Leicester College of Art (now De Montfort University) Jill has been painting for 40 years. She travels extensively and her images are inspired by observations in India, Hong Kong, Russia, Turkey, Egypt and Portugal. She is well known for exuberant, vibrant and uplifting paintings. Jill exhibits widely in Open Exhibitions including the Mall Galleries, London, where she has won prizes for her work. Also, the R.B.S.A. Open Watercolour Exhibition for two years running. She won the Winsor & Newton prizes for 'The Artist' magazine front page competition and 'The Art Newspaper" front page competition. She has had 5 solo exhibitions and Leicester University asked for a painting for their collection.
