Ingrid Kleins-Daniels

Ingrid is an artist, teacher and designer living and working in Leicestershire. After a degree in Fine Art at Loughborough she worked for a Leicester advertising company for a while before returning to complete a post graduate in teaching. Since then, Ingrid has taught extensively in Leicestershire and Derbyshire secondary schools and lectured for Nottingham University.

While her children were small, Ingrid also took on freelance design work for companies in this country and the USA, producing images for textile print and the gift industry.

Ingrid's work is not centred around one particular area of interest, but she is very drawn to the dynamics of movement and dance as a subject. Whenever she can, Ingrid works from the moving figure during rehearsals and dance classes. She does, however, also produce work based on boats, their shapes and movement, landscapes, still life and other figurative subjects such as Greek mythological subjects and stories as a basis for image making.
