Sketching at The Museum - Gallery
Thank you to all who came out to the New Walk Museum on Saturday 18th February and 23 September to draw in the Victorian Gallery. They were both very enjoyable and busy days where we suspect around 300-400 of the public visited. It was great to see so much drawing taking place. Well done all. The event was a collaboration with the New Walk Museum & Art Gallery. Many thanks go to the all the museum staff and volunteers on the day for their terrific help setting up and smooth running of the day including Jade Baker for sorting out the logistics and organising a wonderful collection for us to draw and Rebecca Gooding for her help initially. Special thanks to those members who generously gave their time on the days to encourage the visitors to draw and give advice in particular Vivien Blackburn, Bill Benbow, Di Lorriman, Bradley Phelps, Christine Mannion, Emma Willis, Maxine Dodd, Brigitte Thomas, Lydia Manship, Jim Griffiths, Mick Sadler, Rita Sadler, Sue Clegg and Emma Fitzpatrick (organiser). Here are some photographs from the days plus a slideshow of work from some budding artists as well as more established ones, see if you can spot yours! |
