|
Wednesday November 6th, 7pm - Leicester High School for Girls, 454 London Rd, Leicester LE2 2PP Jarvis Brookfield Artist demonstration - Creative Liberation: Embracing Intuitive Art Come along and explore the liberating process of creating art without a predefined outcome. The focus is going to be on engaging with intuitive and instinctual aspects of creativity, as opposed to aiming to produce a traditionally 'beautiful' image. We will be working with oil pastels on watercolour paper - all materials will be provided but please feel free to bring anything you would like to work with. https://www.jarvisbrookfield.com/ About Jarvis Jarvis Brookfield is a UK-based artist exploring the profound intersections of spirituality, identity, and the human experience. Drawing on his mixed African and British heritage, Brookfield’s paintings reflect a unique blend of cultural perspectives, inviting viewers into contemplative spaces where the boundaries between the seen and unseen dissolve. His work is rooted in a deep reverence for nature and the mysteries that shape our internal worlds and experiences. Influenced by both traditional and expressive techniques, his vibrant and semi-abstract pieces focus on process and discovery. Through his use of line, colour, abstraction, and form, Brookfield’s work extends an invitation for introspection, encouraging a deeper engagement with the self and the unseen forces at play in our lives. |
