Trinity House exhibition 2026

Following on from last year's sketching event at the Newarke, we have a small exhibition of work that was produced, which is currently being exhibited in Trinity House.
Opening times are limited, as the building is not generally open to the public. There is a Private View for all sketch club members and a guest on Friday 19th June at 6.00 pm - please RSVP to the enquiries email address if you would like to attend. The other opportunities to see the exhibition are: During the Riverside Festival weekend 6th and 7th June 11.00 – 4.00 On the Heritage Sundays – 31st May, 28th June, 26th July, 30th August 11.00 – 3.00. We have a community engagement day related to this exhibition:
Saturday 12th September Trinity House and herb garden, De Montfort University campus opposite the Hawthorne Building on The Newarke . LE2 7BY. Meet at 10.30am in Trinity House Gallery. De Montfort University and Leicester Sketch Club are pleased to offer a sketching event in this Historic area of Leicester - including Trinity House and Herb Garden, Castle View, St Mary de Castro church and the Magazine Gateway. This event is free and open to all. Bring your own materials – or you are welcome to use materials which will be available free on the day. This lovely historical area of Leicester offers opportunities for sketching indoors and outside the Trinity Hospital Chapel and herb garden, St Mary de Castro churchyard and Castle View. The area is a unique tranquil spot with interesting buildings, cobbled streets with a ruinous medieval gatehouse called Turret Gateway. This is also a last chance to view the exhibition “Sketching Old Leicester” - work by LSC members. Bring a packed lunch – or visit The Castle Pub or Hand & Bowl Deli for refreshments.
