Beryl graduated with a Fine Art degree from London Metropolitan University and now lives in Leicestershire.
In her practice it involves engaging directly with nature which is an inspirational source of motivation for her work. The changing seasons and atmospheric conditions stimulate and provoke her senses, which she records spontaneously in her sketchbook for further exploration and development.
Beryl’s work traces primeval contours of boundaries which have left their mark on the surfaces of both land and sea. Working in watercolour, acrylic and other various materials using different techniques to express a notion of the passing of time; making permanent the ephemeral which may encourage the viewer to reflect on their own personal experiences and encounters with nature.
