Glen Heath

As a fine art painter, Glen works in a variety of media, including watercolour, pastels, oils, and mixed media.

Her work is established in series, and focuses on localised areas of Leicester such as the Market Place, flower shop, theatres, festivals, and Bradgate Park.

They connect with familiarity as a recorded experience (exploring anthropomorphic imagery), or through the realms of fantasy, often using clown images as surrogate figures of depiction. It may be a tree, a flower, a place or a person, or even a poem - each has a story to tell.

As a member of the Association of Leicestershire Artists, Glen is undergoing a project titled "Rags to Riches." Her response is to investigate the contemporary and much used local charity shops, weaving a narrative element within the paintings.
