I’m a graduate of Nottingham Trent University in Fine Art with Foundation studies at Bolton College of Art in the ‘70’s. My work has been exhibited at Patchings, the Octagon Theatre, the Little Theatre Leicester as well as galleries in Thorsby, and Nottingham.
I enjoy experimenting with painterly techniques, combining them with print, some computer drawing and mixed media, creating visual stories about simple things that focus on the world around me from garden to landscape. Much of my work is done with the intention of sharing the atmosphere and a sense of place. I find changing seasons inspirational, affording me the opportunity to play with light and colour. My work is unashamedly decorative and colourful, the aim is simply to be joyous.
