Di Lorriman
Professional Artist and Cartoonist Favourite subjects to paint: watercolour landscapes and figure studies. Favourite subjects to cartoon and caricature: topical ideas and commissioned work – often from photographs. Di was President of LSC in 2009 soon after she joined the Club. She is a Fellow of the Nottingham Society of Artists and a Full Member of The Cartoonist Club of Great Britain. Di has a Diploma in Education from Weymouth Teacher Training College and enjoys passing on skills in the teaching environment. She is invited to many art clubs in and around Ashby de la Zouch where she lives. She has also been a regular tutor at Knuston Hall College of Further Education in Northamptonshire for over a decade. There she teaches watercolour, pen and wash, mixed media and also Cartooning and Caricature. She has had many articles published in the Leisure Painter.
