About us
Leicester Sketch Club is a friendly and supportive group of people focused on their interest in art and development of their artwork. We provide opportunities for indoor and outdoor sketching, café sketching, urban sketching, as well as painting and printing, with a particular emphasis on development. The Club has about 100 members ranging from talented experienced full time artists, part time artists to those with an interest in art. Our Associate membership is for people who may not necessarily be artists themselves and artists who may be developing their work. We hold events where members can enjoy the company of other artists, share techniques, work together, develop their artwork and have fun. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month. Our full programme including demonstrations, talks, critiques and workshops, sketching days and, the highlight of our year, the annual exhibition. The majority of our members exhibit work in the exhibition. Many of our events are open to non-members.
