Come urban sketching with us! We will meet at the Richard III Centre, at the monument at 11am.
we'll go sketching.till 4pm. If you've ever wanted to try urban sketching, now's your chance.
Bring whatever kit you fancy, pencils, pens, a bit of colour. Enjoy the challenge - the more the merrier!
Sun 11th August - Bradgate Park
https://www.bradgatepark.org/ Woodland, open landscapes, Old John, rocky outcrops. Meet at Hunts Hill (Old John) car park at 10am - LE6 0AH. This is a pay and display car park – machines are coin only (no change given). Maximum cost on a Sunday is £5.50 for a car. You can also pay to park in this car park via the Paybyphone app. Toilets are a short walk away (not wheelchair accessible). |
Wed 18th Sept Beacon Hill https://leicscountryparks.org.uk/parks/beacon-hill/ Meet at the lower car park off Breakback Road (LE12 8TA) at 10am. Car park is pay on exit (maximum charge is £5 if you stay more than 3 hours). There’s a café and toilets near the car park. There are woodland walks, with many plants and animals; mixed herds of cattle and sheep, some endangered, which graze the heathland and meadows; and chainsaw carvings and sculptures made from timber grown in the park. |
