Alan Willey
Alan originally trained in Fine Art at Southampton College of Art. Although he subsequently followed a career in a totally unrelated field, he is now able to devote a major part of his time to painting. Alan enjoys exploring a variety of subject matter in a range of different media. The process of observation, interpretation and creation are as important to him as the finished work. He is often happy to leave work “unfinished”, without feeling the need for it to be “presentable” in the traditional sense.
