David Easton RI
David joined the LSC in 1954 while a student of commercial design at Leicester College of Art. Training :- N.D.D. in 1956, and later B.Ed. He taught in schools and colleges up until 1982. He became self-employed as a Graphic designer, and then as a fine artist. He was elected to the Royal Institute in 1985. Publications include two books for Batsford:- Watercolour Flowers 1993 and Watercolour Inspirations 1997. Exhibitions:- RA Summer Exhibition 1986 and many private galleries in the UK. David’s last solo show was at the Bircham Gallery, Holt, Norfolk in 2002. David’s paintings of landscape are based on observed sketches and imagined places.
