Vivien Blackburn
Past President BA Hons Fine Art De Montfort University Tutor/Lecturer Vivien works in a wide variety of media, dictated by the subject, usually mixing media. Her work tends to be in series, currently the wild coast of Cornwall, an abstract project working to the title Rags to Riches, the local landscape and sketching whatever interests her at the time. "Edges interest me - where woodland opens out to fields or the sea meets rocks and sand - or frayed and patched fabric, the starting point of Rags to Riches. The ever changing light in the landscape or lighting on fabric and objects is important, as are the varying textures and marks to suggest them." Vivien has had various exhibitions from the Cotswolds to Derbyshire, solo and groups.
