September meeting
This was an artist talk by Wayne Attwood, back meeting up in person at Leicester High School. A fascinating talk about his work as Artist in Residence during the demolition and reconstruction of Birmingham New Street station.
July meeting

May meeting
This was a portrait in oils demo by Rob Wareing - see the members' page for the video.
Update 25/8/21 - sadly Rob's wife has informed us that Rob passed away last week - "Rob was really looking forward to starting live workshops again and inviting you all to his new studio but sadly this was not to be."

February meeting
Wednesday February 3rd 2021, 7pm
A demonstration/talk by Chris Forsey. Chris works in acrylics, watercolour and mixed media. His work focuses on landscape and architectural subjects using texture and expressive techniques. He used acrylics and some ink in this demonstration.
See the members' page for a recording of the demo and the completed painting.
January meeting
At this meeting, Sketch Club members Vanessa Parkinson and Maxine Dodd shared some of their personal techniques.
Maxine Dodd: “My work is inspired by sport, movement and other fleeting moments. Drawings, paintings and combined media, including pen, ink, watercolour and pastels. Subjects include cycling Tour de France, Six Nations rugby and more.' You can read more details on https://maxinedodd.com/about/”
Vanessa Parkinson: “For a couple of decades I have taken part in Tudor re-enactments as Lettys, poor gardener and have built up a lot of knowledge about plants and their uses. During lockdown I kept a record of some of the plants/weeds I grow and used a variety of art techniques to log these. After a few false starts, I finally found a way to display the plant images in the form of “Lockdown Gardener’s Tatter Hat”, which was accepted for the cancelled Leicester Open”
