Saturday 26th March, 1pm - 3.30pm Knighton Parish Centre, Church Lane, Leicester LE2 3WG 15 places £30 per session Scott Bridgwood - Life drawing workshops 'Expressive Life Drawing' We will experiment with various drawing techniques and ways to take the drawings on to another level. we aim to push the boundaries of each participating artist's drawing methods. The goal is to be as expressive as possible rather than a mere accurate depiction of a life model. For those of you who participated in February, the March session is planned to offer something different which will build on the approaches we used earlier. For those who did not attend the February session, this workshop is equally suitable to be experienced as a stand-alone session The March workshop is planned so that participants, after starting with some quick warm-up drawings, will spend the great majority of the session working on a single response to a pose using paint. " My subject matter comprises of a variety of different themes such as interiors and semi abstracted landscapes, often within the notion of place and transit. The artworks consistently demonstrate my interest in the formal elements of composition: structure, perspective, shape, and light. My aim is to not to show a faithful depiction of a landscape, but to explore a suggestion of a sense of place, of being present within a particular space at a particular moment. My workshops are based loosely on my own process wherby each participent explores their own 'sense of place'. With an open and fluid interpretation from other artists and insights, be it landscape, urban, interior or still life- it always tends to be led by my own way of working, sharing my own tools and colour processes, with a basis on drawing, sketchbook work, and other technical aspects that all may be discovered."
