Mick Sadler
Mick has recently started painting and sketching for the first time in over 30 years. He enjoys sketching outdoors and painting Plein Air, accompanying his artist wife Rita, also a sketch club member. Living on the edge of Loughborough, backing onto Garendon Park, Mick has a great affinity with the local landscape around him and enjoys capturing images of both pastoral and urban scenes and the local landscapes that present themselves. The places where countryside meets community, architecture and urban life impacts upon nature are of particular interest. Since graduating from Coventry University (formerly Lanchester Polytechnic) in 1975 with a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design, he has worked in the graphics industry as a designer, illustrator, visualizer, art director, marketing consultant and design/marketing consultant before retiring in 2016. Recent exhibitions include the Open 2016 at the Sock Gallery, Loughborough Town Hall, and the LSC exhibition at the Newarke House, Leicester.
