A series of three events aimed at new and developing artists - including associate members, especially those interested in applying for full membership.

Taking work to the next level - how can I make it ' exhibition standard'?
A series of three events aimed at new and developing artists - including associate members, especially those interested in applying for full membership.

Knighton Parish Centre
Church Lane, Knighton, Leicester, LE2 3WG
Lots of discussion, friendly, relaxed but lots of useful information. Notebook and pen essential.
It is highly advised that you do all 3 workshops as they build knowledge and understanding. Suitable for Associates who want to develop their work and maybe aim to become full members and any member who feels they would benefit.
Workshops 1 and 2 Developing Your Work. This is one unit - Saturday 16th March and Saturday 22nd June.
Run by Vivien Blackburn. These will look at:
Following that you will bring in work, maybe that you are having problems with and we will discuss, in light of the above, how to improve it and rescue it, take it to a higher level.
Workshop 3 Framing Saturday 26th October
This workshop will be about framing to enhance your work, to look professional and be of exhibition standard. Advice on framing, unframed canvas, mounts, quality etc (Also how work needs to be framed for our LSC exhibition).

- composition
- colour
- tools
- mark making
- self critique
- using photos, copyrights, the why?
