LEICESTER SKETCH CLUB – PROGRAMME SEPTEMBER 2020 – DECEMBER 2020
Online chats (Members only. Free)
2nd Wednesday of the month at 2.00 pm and 4th Wednesday of the month at 7.30 pm. A chance to talk very informally with other Sketch Club members about work in progress, new ideas explored and online opportunities and other sources of inspiration.

Demonstrations and Critique (Members only. Free)
Tuesday 22nd September 7.00 pm – 8.15 pm Demonstration - Using Cold Wax Medium by Nicki Heenan.
Members will receive an email invitation in advance with a link to this online Zoom demo.
Wednesday 7th October 7 6.30 pm Critique by Diane Hall.
Full members are invited to email one piece of work to be critiqued by Diane to http://www.vivienblackburn.com by the end of September. Work should be photographed in high resolution. We can accept up to 15 pieces – first come, first served! All members are welcome to join this Zoom event as participants or observers and will receive an email link to Zoom.
We are planning to run demonstrations by Bernie Moore and Chris Forsey in November and December and will send out further information on these shortly.
Wednesday 2nd December 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm Annual General Meeting by Zoom. Vivien Blackburn will explore the use of sketchbooks by herself and a range of other artists.
Workshops (Members only initially – to be booked in advance at [email protected] ).
Saturday 19th September 10.00 am – 2.00 pm (plus an individual tutorial). Painting in Gouache Tutor: Helen Newton. Up to 10 places available. £25 (See attached flyer for information and booking details).
Saturday 17th October 10.00 am - 2.30 pm. Gongbi Brush Painting Tutor: Siyuan Ren. Up to 10 places available. £30 + £10 for materials which will be provided for participants. (See attached flyer for information and booking details).
Please note that the Life Drawing Sessions with Steph Knowles on 12th Sept and 10th Oct have been cancelled. Payments we have received will be refunded.
Exhibition
Regrettably, we will not be holding our usual annual exhibition. However, we are investigating the possibility of showing an online exhibition of members’ work so look out for details of this.
